General Information About the Employee Handbook Template

The employee handbook template is an editable Microsoft Word-compatible document that can be personalized in a matter of minutes with your own company information. The template is an interactive document which means employers can fill in their own information, add graphics and logos, or modify the document as necessary.  The first two pages of the template provides ample instructions for preparing and completing your handbook.  

The human resource policies included in the template cover the vast majority of general business policies and procedures.  Not all items need to be included in your employee handbook, but they are listed and should be considered in creating your company’s handbook.  Content may be added, deleted, or modified to best describe your company information. 

The template may be customized by reviewing each section and choosing the correct policy you wish to incorporate into your employee handbook.  A bracketed underscore “[____________]” highlighted in blue within the document indicates an area where information needs to be added to the text or modified to correspond with your company’s requirements.  

After reviewing the document and making any required adjustments, your employee handbook is ready to print.
